What Our Parents Think
Why Choose Mandeville? Here are a few parent voices from January 2026
Mandeville's nurturing environment focuses so much on the child as an individual supporting growth and focusing on it's 4 key values, which are so much at the centre of the school's spirit.
Be kind, Be brave, Be involved and Be a learner.
Mandeville has been a wonderful school for our two daughters, and a positive presence in our local community. The school values shine through in every interaction we have with the school, and it's lovely to see how every single child is valued, included and supported by the school team.
I’m writing to express how amazing Mandeville school is . I have 4 kids go to this school and we have been going to this school since 2019 my oldest son too used to go there and now he is at year 8 and he really loved going to Mandeville . This school is top on education and professional teachers.
Since we start going to this school we had no thing but support .The kids are very happy and they enjoy their education we always have great support and experience. Teachers are very friendly and they understand what a child need to enjoy the school and to learn well .
Not to forget the lovely head teacher who is always waiting at the school gate in the morning to greet the students no matter how the weather rain snow hot sunny she is always there . Make everyone feel very welcome to be at this school and show high level of care. Not to forget the lovely man Keven who greet everyone and farewell too .
Thank you Mandeville and to all the team for the amazing hard work you do to ensure all the kids are safe and well happy and having great learning.
Mandeville Primary School offers a supportive and welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to do their best. The staff have taken time to understand my child’s needs and wellbeing, both academically and emotionally. The early years setting offers a fun, caring atmosphere where my child is confident to learn and grow.
I am very happy that I chose Mandeville for my son.
I am a parent of a 13-year-old who was at primary school at Mandeville throughout and I have another child in year three. I have had an excellent experience of Mandeville. My daughter was able to experience so many new things including public speaking, musical opportunities, girls football, brilliant school trips and has made wonderful and diverse friendships for life. She left Mandeville a confident child who is thriving in secondary school. She achieved excellent SATS results and is in top sets currently which I put down to the grounding that she received.
My son is also thriving. I feel that his unique needs and his personality is recognised and responded to. I am able to meet with his teachers if he is ever having difficulty and I always feel that he is treated as an individual, encouraged to learn but also to be able to focus on things that are important to him. This week he told me that he loved school- which is the best review I can give!
From my first visit, looking for a nursery place for my eldest, I found the school and team at Mandeville to be a great fit for us. I was reassured and impressed with the short book of what to expect starting at school for my daughter with pictures of the playground and classroom. This level of support was offered everyday through the whole school journey and each step celebrated when she left year 6. During this time addition support was given when my daughter was having a tricky time and a mindfulness that she gets anxious during alarms and storms meant that her needs were anticipated.
When my son joined his own Idiosyncrasies, we accepted and supported and new ways to support his challenges are always being found.
This care and support is regularly extended to me while I voice my concerns and struggles with additional forms requesting external help often leaving me emotional and overwhelmed with gratitude. I regularly see space being made for each child and feel they are all seen and embraced as individuals.
I’m so grateful to be part of the Mandeville community, the additional events are entertaining for all and invitations to see what our children are learning are loved by parents and child. I really feel my children have been taught not just lesson and information for test but life skills and values they will hold forever.
A Well-Led Caring School Where Children Feel Safe, Valued and Ready to Learn
As parents, we’ve been genuinely impressed by Mandeville Primary School. From the leadership team through to the teachers and support staff, there’s a real sense that children are known, valued and cared for as individuals.
The school has a calm, nurturing feel, while also being very well organised and purposeful. Staff set clear expectations but do so with warmth, patience and flexibility, which makes a huge difference to how safe and settled children feel day to day.
Relationships are a real strength — adults take time to build trust with pupils and consistently model kindness, respect and emotional awareness.
Learning is approached thoughtfully, with a good balance between academic progress and wellbeing. Safeguarding is clearly taken seriously, and it’s reassuring to see how attuned staff are to children’s needs.
Communication with parents is open and respectful, and it genuinely feels like a partnership rather than a one-way conversation as in many other schools.
Overall, Mandeville Primary School feels like a community that lives its values every day.
We feel very fortunate that our child is part of such a caring, committed and inclusive school.
Mandeville is a school at the heart of a wonderful diverse community. We have had 4 children attend the school over the course of the last 16 years with daughters currently in Year 2 and Year 4. We have seen first hand how the school has adapted and progressed since becoming part of an academy with a wonderful enriching curriculum that sparks a love for learning in it's students.
Mandeville's focus on Positive Pupil Regard means teachers accept and value the students building trust and fostering a sense of belonging and an environment where they can thrive emotionally and academically.
Amazing staff retention speaks volumes alongside an exceptional leadership team. The headteacher is visible at the gates every morning and is always approachable. Communication is excellent and we feel our children's best interests are truly at the heart of every decision.
What truly makes Mandeville so special is the staff. They are amazing—warm, caring, and dedicated in a way that is truly out of the ordinary. Every child is made to feel seen, heard, and at home, with learning thoughtfully adapted to each individual. The staff go above and beyond every day to support, educate, and encourage the children, offering so much more than academic skills. They help children become the best version of themselves while teaching them about life and the world around us. There is nothing greater than seeing your child thrive like children do at Mandeville. We couldn’t be happier.
Mandeville has been a wonderful school for our two children, where they continue to learn and enjoy going to school every day.
As parents we are kept well informed of their progress and have had great and open discussions about what we can do at home to support their learning.
The school always goes to great lengths to make sure school trips are an integral part of learning and it’s great to hear the stories that come back with them.
I am confident that the rest of their primary school journey will be full of learning and fun within a safe environment.
We have two sons at Mandeville school, one in reception and the other in year 6. Both boys love being at Mandeville, they feel important and valued. The teachers care so much about them as individuals and their interests outside of school are acknowledged. When my eldest son has experienced any negative or challenging experiences he has been supported to talk through any problems and express himself in a positive way. I look forward to seeing my 4 year old grow and flourish at Mandeville.
